I’m leveling up!

Finally, I’ve started my internship and I’d just like to say:

WOW!

Turns out this internship is more fun than I expected. I get to redesign a waiting area and its really cool. Never thought I would be doing something like this in my life, but I’m glad I’ve discovered it.

I’ve been working with my colleagues and our goal is to create an innovative waiting space where people can remain entertained☨. The constant minutes to hours of wait each person must endure, just sucks…

Ideas have been thrown across the room between everyone in the working area and people have gone investigating to see what kinds of things to do. Now we’re in the process of getting the ideas from the people in the waiting area. After that, its all just a matter of what things we’ll put in the area and where.

An interesting thing I discovered, was that the Innovation Academy (IA) has taught me how to perform in a certain way. Since I recently did a Pepsi marketing project, I’m applying the methods I used in there with what I’m doing with the internship.

Wait, what?

What does marketing have to do with this?

Well we had to pitch this whole idea of redesigning the waiting area to someone. Pitching ideas is a big thing in marketing. I’ve learned from experience in the Pepsi campaign my group in IA had to make.

I would’ve never believed that the methods I used in the IA could be so effective in a job outside of the classroom.

Marketing and proposing ideas are just two skills everyone should know.

From marketing to redesigning. I’m honestly going places, and this fixed mindset of mine is disappearing day by day.

☨Due to my job's regulations I can't say too much on what I'm doing in my internship. I have to keep it simple, which makes it a bit vague.
