As an English and Spanish speaker with no particular Japanese origin, picking such a language to learn could be considered rather random.
The reasons as to why I want to learn Japanese is because I'm a lover of anime (Japanese animation) and a lover of particular Japanese culture. I hope to use my knowledge of Japanese for the future, as it might create more opportunities in life, knowing more than one language.

Learning from Google:
At the start of the project I didn't neccesarily know how I would start learning Japanese. What methods would I use? Watching YouTube videos and reading random websites proved to be not only difficult, but very boring. Honestly, I don't like to learn by just reading stuff and there is a limitivity as to how many YouTube teach Japanese efficiently.
This is when I realised that, man, this is gonna suck. I had to find another method to learn this language. That's when I decided to find some free apps.
Learning from the Phone:
Through the struggle of finding a method to learn a whole language, Google led me to discover apps. There were various apps for the iPhone that were free and looked great to use.
In the end however, this project was cut to an end as it was very time consuming. I decided to make a new project based on creating and promoting electronic music. However, there will definitely be a time where I pick up learning Japanese again pretty soon.
